If you like walking and other non-competitive sporting events, you are in the right place. The Asheville Amblers Walking Club hosts numerous events throughout the year, all of which are open to everyone regardless of age or athletic ability. We invite you to attend as many as you like. Be sure to check our 2015 Schedule!

The Asheville Amblers is part of the American Volkssport Association (AVA), a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing Fun, Fitness and Friendship through walking, biking and other sporting events. Through the AVA, you can find local, national and international events.

July Event Walks

Hot Springs, NC on July 25
Our trail will go past the famous "Hot Spring Spa" and stately Victorian homes. We will also be mingling with "thru walkers" on the Appalachian Trail. Consider reserving a space at the Spa for some post-walk relaxation!

Carolina Hemlocks in Burnsville, NC on July 26th
This serene trail will be through woods, along the Toe River, and go by a swimming hole. You are welcome to take a dip!

Sat. July 11

We'll be walking through downtown, past the many shops and restaurants, and their lovely Town Square. In addition we'll stroll along a portion of the Greenway and around Lake Tomahawk. Plus we'll pass by Oak Mansion on the campus of Montreat College.
Come visit this quaint town!

We'll be starting early to beat the heat!
Register at 8:15 to step off at 8:30.

Free parking is available along downtown streets, and in nearby lots.
