Westbound I-40: Take Exit 389 (Hall of Fame Dr.). At end of ramp, left on Hall of Fame Dr. approx. 2 miles to Hill Ave. The Women's Basketball Hall of Frame will be on your left and James White Fort Historical Site on your right. Turn left and then almost immediately left again into entrance to Marriott Hotel.
Eastbound I-40: Eastbound I-40: Take exit 387 (17th Ave./Western Ave.). Remain on access road, going through (straight) at the traffic light at 17th Ave. Continue to next traffic light (Western Ave.) staying in the right lane. Turn right on Western. Western will change its name to Summit Hill. Remain on Summit Hill to traffic light intersection of Summit Hill and Hall of Fame Drive. Right on to Hall of Fame Drive and continue to traffic light and Hill Ave. James White Fort Historical Site will be on your right and Women's Basketball Hall of Frame on your left. Turn left on to Hill Ave, and then, turn left again at the entrance to Marriott Hotel.
Parking: If parking isn't available in front of the Marriott, you may use their parking garage or park in the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame lot. Do not park in Women's Basketball Hall of Fame lot if they have an event going on as you will be towed.
Event Info: Daily - Dawn to Dusk. Stroll through the site of the World's Fair of 1982 with it's fountains, waterway, falls and Sunsphere. The Sunsphere is open & free to the public. The observation area provides a 360 degree view of Knoxville and surrounding area. Traverse the campus of the University of Tennessee. Walk along Volunteer Landing - a promenade along the Tennessee River with recordings of Knoxville history and panoramic views. Savor the charms of the Market Square area. View various sites from the Civil War Siege and Battle of Knoxville. Beware of traffic congestion and lack of parking during a UT fall football game.
