Who are The Asheville Amblers?
We are a non-profit, 501c3 organization devoted to finding wonderful places to walk. We host festive events which will combine healthful, non-competitive walks with social occasions for the whole family to enjoy in scenic and historic areas.
MEETINGS
We meet once a month, (Second Tuesday of each month) usually following a short walk, and always with a meal at a restaurant in the Asheville area. Email Fran McDonald (just click on her name that is in BLUE) or call 828-681-8188 for reservations and to find out when and where our next walk/meeting is going to be held.
MEMBERSHIP
We have over just under 200 members, most of whom reside in the Asheville, NC, SC, and TN areas, but some of whom are residents of other volkssporting states. Several are "snow-birds," who walk with us in the summer and migrate south to walk the warmer climes in the winter.
